It's Just That Time of Year!

Looking back to last year I realize that something happens to my blogging (or "lack thereof") right around April/May. Now that it is June we are good to go. Here are a few update pics!

Cole has become such a little helper. Now if we could get him interested in washing dishes and folding laundry!

How do you get a one year old interested in finding their Easter basket? Leave a marshmallow trail, of course!

Worked like a charm!

One thing I loved about Easter was getting to be the Easter Bunny!

My grandma likes to accentuate my "chompers" so she bought me this outfit. What do you think?

Cole is definitely a believer in the five second rule!

Grandma Andrea just bought me some new tools so that I can help daddy outside this summer!

See how much help I can be?!

With this face it is all good!

Clip, clip here - Clip, clip there!

Today was a big day for me - I got my first haircut! My hair wasn't too bad, my mom just said that it needed a bit of trimming around the edges! Mom thought we'd go to a salon near our house, but dad said he'd rather do it. How did he do, you ask? Take a look...

Here is my before shot!

Here we go...

There's no turning back now!

I thought haircuts came with suckers and balloons - all I got was a saltine cracker!

All of my trimmings!

Voila! My first haircut!

Bathtub Fun!

One thing Cole has always enjoyed are his baths. Now that he is increasingly mobile he is able to show us just how much he wants to get in the tub! Bath time is always a fun time in our house!

Sledding Adventure

For Christmas Cole received his first sled! We've been waiting for a good day to take Cole out and yesterday was finally the day! Cole seemed to really enjoy being outside...it was the first of many sledding adventures!

Happy Birthday to Me!

It's been such a long time since we've posted again - so much has happened! The biggest event being Cole's 1st birthday!! He had such a good day and Mike and I were left wondering where the past year has gone!

One quick pic before I take that hat off my head!

Mike went shopping to pick up a few party supplies. He saw personalized candles, but not for the name Cole. You can buy individual candles, but they were out of the 'e'...so a bit of quick thinking on Mike's part and we ended up with this!

Here's the finished product! It didn't turn out as cute as I had hoped - but then again I'm not a professional!

Looking it over and trying a quick sample...

Yes it was delicious!! Immediately following this pic Cole was in the bathtub!! We thought he might get sick because of how much he ate, but he was nothing but happy! He did manage to stay up until close to 9 on a bit of a sugar high, but he was in good spirits!!

For Cole's birthday we got him a childhood essential - a red Radio Flyer wagon!!! He's rode around the house a few times and seemed to love it. Hopefully that means a lot of good walks throughout 2011!

Fall Fun

I can hardly believe that we're practically mid-way through November. Yet, as I sit here alone on the eve of opening day, I'm quickly reminded that, indeed, fall is moving quickly! Here are a few pictures we've snapped of Cole over the past few weeks.

Happy Halloween! After much deliberation Mom decided that I would be a lion for my first Halloween!

Here I am with my cousin Everett (the hippo on the far left) and my cousin Drew (in the middle). Good times!

Raking leaves with Dad! I love my backpack!

Unfortunately it didn't last too long before Cole got the boot and had to come inside. He was glued to the window while Mike was in the backyard mowing the lawn.

Just a cute pic!

If you have seen Cole lately you know how hilarious his teeth are! He still has eight, which he's had for nearly two months. That put him at the age of when the average baby gets their first one!!! The two top on the left side came in fast and are quite large in size. We are already saving up for braces.

More fun with Dad!!!

An Angel Among Us

This past week our family lost someone very special. Sara was both friend and family to so many people and we are so very lucky to have gotten to know her so well. I have many wonderful memories of times we were able to spend together that I will never forget. We will all take comfort knowing that Sara is watching over us as I truly believe she was an angel among us for the past 28 years.
Please keep our entire family in your thoughts and prayers.

The only picture I have of Sara and Aaron with Cole. I will cherish this picture forever.

9 Months and Lovin' It

We're back to the school grind and busy busy busy! One thing I've been wanting to do is get a few fun fall pics of Cole before it's over. I was driving home with Cole the other day and passed by a metro-Detroit cider mill / pumpkin farm. I was going to stop, but got scared by the hoards of people. I kept driving and in another few miles passed by another one. I decided to suck it up and get some pics. It was still mass chaos in my book - which meant a difficult photo session with Cole. He looked all over - except for at the camera! I managed to get a couple of decent shots...

Here I Am!

It has once again been quite some time since we've posted anything as Cole is now 6 1/2 months old! We've been having a great summer ~ here are a couple of pics to update you on how much he's changed!

We did a 6 month photo shoot with Cole at home. It included:
Fireplace Mantle
2 bed sheets
Ottoman
Weights/Sugar Container/Spaghetti Sauce Jar (to hold the sheets from the mantle, of course!)

Here are a few of my favorites

Pretty handsome, huh?!

Yuck! I do not recommend rubber duck!
