We Finally Meet!

After waiting a few months Mike and I were finally able to meet our new nephew, Everett.  The same went for my sister as she finally got to meet Cole.  We had a great visit as Erica brought the boys home for nearly two weeks.  Here are a few pics of the boys!

Mason wasted no time getting busy...he spent about an hour or so doing the dishes and washing my sink.  His other favorite activity is to help do the "yaundry" (he has trouble pronouncing his l's).  Man, I miss this kid!

With Mason at Gamma and Papa's house, Erica and I had a few days with just the babies.  We ventured out to the mall for an afternoon.  While there Erica surprised me with my very own hooter hider!  We then had a little party of our own in the Sear's bathroom...good times!

I love this picture of Everett and Cole.  As funny as it looks, it does represent their personalities quite well.  Everett is very laid back and relaxed, while Cole is a bit more spastic.

Best buds!

Scrub-a-dub-dub!   Mason enjoyed taking a luxurious bubble bath to get squeaky clean.

Tough Guy

Cole recently turned 2 months old which meant a wellness check at the Dr.'s office and a round of immunizations.  We've decided to space out his shots...as you can see he got two shots to help celebrate turning 2 months old!

I was quite worried  about how he'd react - he sometimes has enough cranky moments on his own!   However, after sleeping the ENTIRE night through he woke up like this the next day...

This makes it all worthwhile!

Busted!

When Cole was born Mike was against using pacifiers because he didn't want Cole to get too attached to them.  Within the first few days there were several occasions in which someone would put a pacifier in his mouth and someone else would take it out.

Upon returning to work Mike talked to some colleagues about our pacifier debate.  Mike quickly changed his mind about them as they explained that it'd be much easier to get rid of a pacifier, rather than something that's attached....oh, let's say a finger or thumb!  From this point on, Mike has been all about using pacifiers and trying to keep the fingers out of his mouth.

It seems that now the issue is out of our hands!  Cole rarely takes a pacifier - and when he does he is very particular about which one it is.  I often hear him sucking while he's sleeping and the other day I finally caught him in the act!  Sorry Mike - it looks like Cole wins this one!

Fashion Faux-Pas

You gotta love the looks of a white onesie and black socks!

My First Photo Shoot

While Stephanie Brining was down to visit in February she was able to snap a few (more like 100!) pics of Cole.  She put the pictures in a video and uploaded it to YouTube.  Copy the link below to view the pics!

Thanks a million Steph!
